Mike Uhlinger
Mike Uhlinger is the owner and Head Instructor at Mixed Grappling Arts. Mike has been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Submission Grappling since October of 2003 and is a Black Belt under under World Champion, Cassio Werneck. His passion for teaching and love for the art of grappling make for a fun, insightful training atmosphere. Mike is an avid believer in teaching full systems and the principles behind the techniques to provide students with the best possible learning experience. He has a very active teaching style and constantly provides feedback for each individual student. Mike continues to compete regulary.
When he is not on the mats, Mike enjoys backpacking, mountain climbing, swimming, photography, and four wheeling.

Lenna Uhlinger
Lenna Uhlinger is Assistant Instructor at Mixed Grappling Arts. Lenna has been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Submission Grappling since October of 2005 and currently holds the rank of black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. She is the first female awarded her black belt under multiple time World Champion, Cassio Werneck, and is the only female Jiu Jitsu black belt in Sacramento County. She is passionate about helping her students to build self confidence and live a healthy and active life style. Lenna is present at every class giving any interested females a woman to grapple with and learn from.
When she is not on the mats, Lenna enjoys backpacking, hiking, photography, and swimming.
