WHAT'S IN A NAME?

Cedar City, UT Jiu Jitsu Boys (1 of 1).j

Mixed Grappling Arts isn't just a name; it's a way of training.

Most styles of grappling have a certain set of techniques they don't use or allow.

For Example ...

Traditional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu schools don't practice throws or leg locks.

Russian Sambo doesn't allow chokes.

Wrestling doesn't allow submissions.

Judo doesn't allow wrestling style takedowns to the legs or leg locks.

Although our rank is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, at Mixed Grappling Arts, we allow all grappling techniques. Chokes, Arm Locks, Leg Locks, Throws, Takedowns. The name is meant to remind us to learn from everyone. We strive to be complete grapplers, to be a "Mixed Martial Arts" of Grappling.
